Nagendra Prasad (Nagz) is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association), USA.
He obtained Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification in California, USA. He is also certified in CPR/AED by American Red Cross in California, USA.
He is currently the official Strength and Conditioning coach of Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA). In 2009, he has been the official Strength Coach of the South Zone Duleep Trophy/Deodhar Trophy team, Karnataka State Mens' Ranji Trophy team, Karnataka State Womens' team. He has also been the official Strength coach for National Cricket Academy (NCA) Under-16 Cricket Camp.
During his visit to California, USA in 2008 for his CSCS certification, Nagendra had an opportunity to visit and workout at many gyms and fitness centers like 24Hour Fitness, Bally Total Fitness and Club Sport. He had an excellent exposure to new concepts and techniques of training athletes and sportspersons (individual and team sports) which complements his CSCS certification, to make him one of the elite professional strength and conditioning trainers.
He also has certifications from other reputed institutions, American Aerobic Association (Triple A) Fitness, and LM-The Fitness Academy.
Nagendra had a golden opportunity to train WTA Professional Tennis Players during the Sony Ericsson WTA tournament in Bangalore in February 2007. The players had sessions of cardiovascular exercises and meditation which was thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated by all who attended the sessions.
He has over 10 years experience as a Strength and Conditioning coach, personal trainer, aerobics instructor, and fitness consultant.
He previously was a fitness consultant/fitness trainer/personal trainer at Kodiak Networks India
Pvt Ltd, Lourd Vijay Dance Studio and as well as for individual clients. He conducts an average of 16 aerobics classes per week, with the class strength varying from 15 to 25 people. He has conducted aerobics classes at a corporate client, Cognizant Technology Solutions for about 40 people. The classes involved instruction in aerobics, stretching, weight training and basic yoga.
He has also conducted seminars on fitness-related topics at corporate clients - Kodiak Networks, Larsen & Toubro, and Cisco Systems.
He previously had instructed at 5 Fitness Clubs in Bangalore – O2, Body Line, Dojo, Sai Center, Body Temple. Nagendra Prasad has been very focused on his personal fitness and has excelled in the field of fitness and sports. He won "Mr. Century Club" for body building in 1993 and also won several individual badminton titles at club-level tournaments in Bangalore and been an integral part of winning teams for Sadashivanagar Club at various inter-club tournaments. He has excelled at playing cricket at university level and BUCC (Bangalore United Cricket Club) league and played cricket in Australia on two tours representing BUCC club.
